Monday 18th January 1915

 The Peterhead trawler PD 35  Earl Marischal sank off Buchanness following a collision with a 'Government Vessel'. The mate Mr Andrew Lawrie of 63, Wales Street, Aberdeen was lost. The other crew members were rescued.

 

Tuesday 19th January 1915

 The Hull trawler H283 Pamela was reported to have been wrecked, in severe weather, at Talknafjord in Iceland. The crew were rescued.

Friday 22nd January 1915

 Grimsby trawler GY 967  Windsor sunk by mine 55 miles East of Spurn Head. The crew managed to take to their lifeboat before she sank. They were rescued 24 hours later by the Grimsby trawler GY 1215  Berniicia.

Lowestoft trawler LT 292  Golden Oriole sunk by mine 37 miles East by North of Lowestoft. The crew survived and were rescued by the smack LT 1012 Successful.
